During 2010 we completed visitor experience & interpretation plans for Tay
Forest Park and Fort William’s forests. The challenge for Tay Forest Park is developing engaging interpretation that will be sensitive to the atmosphere at the different woodlands and complement the partnership Perthshire Big Tree Country project. Short and longer term solutions are also required for the interpretation at the popular Queen’s View visitor centre.

During 2011 we completed visitor experience plans for Mabie and Dalbeattie
Forests, both in Dumfries and Galloway, and are currently reviewing the
interpretation plan we carried out for Glenmore Forest Park several years
ago. We are working with TNS, who are carrying out major visitor survey work
at Glenmore as part of our review, to give us a fuller understanding of the ways
in which visitors use the Forest Park and the other attractions in the Glenmore
corridor. We are also looking in some detail at how people use the Forest Park
visitor centre, which is proving very enlightening!
